Club Racing during Nov-Dec - Update
Updated 5 Nov - The Government announced a further lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic commencing on Thursday 5 November running through to early December.
The Club House will close and all facilities provided via the club buildings will not be available. There will be no bar, restaurant, snack bar and no changing or toilet facilities available.
There will be no organised sailing, including racing and training, at the club during the lockdown period.
Thus all Club Racing during November and until further notice has been suspended.
Saturday Race - Cancelled:
- Race box Start & Finish on Club Lines
- Single ‘all-in’ start
- Results will be based on HISC handicap
- Courses will be around fixed harbour marks
- Target time 60-70 minutes
November/December will now comprise of a Saturday Series finishing on the 12 December with a first race Start time of 13:00 hrs.
And a Sunday Series finishing on the 13 December with a first race Start time of 11:00 hrs.
On Saturday 19 December we have the HISC Christmas Cracker Pursuit Race (Members only).
You must enter via SailEvent (details below) for these events.
Electronic Signing On
To help avoid gatherings and assist with social distancing, members wishing to take part in any of the races run on these days must register their e-mail address at blog.sailevent.net,
Once registered members can then enter the races at sailevent.net/enter/HISC and then indicate their intention to race on any particular day when prompted by email or by going direct to the app.
After race email confirmation of race completion or retirement will also be required.
NOTE 1: Electronic (email) signing on/off replaces the usual signing on and off to racing and changes Club NOR/SI 15.2
