RS700 at HISC

Hayling Island Sailing Club has been the home of the RS700 for 17 years and currently has a fleet of twenty boats.

With a diverse membership from new owners to regular National and European competitors, the fleet provides newcomers with excellent and friendly support.

There is plenty of help on hand for advice about sailing this exciting boat as well as technical support on setting up your boat for maximum ease of sailing and optimum performance.

The sheltered flat waters of Chichester harbour are a great place to get to grips with the RS700, and its unique one-handed kite pump system makes hoisting and lowering of the spinnaker very manageable even on your first sail.

In lighter winds the boat can be sailed sitting on the wing bar as you get used to the feel of the boat, before venturing onto the trapeze.

The fleet takes part in club racing on the weekend, but also has a traditionally strong turnout for Wednesday evening racing in the summer.

More adventurous conditions can be found on the Pennant weekends with racing in Hayling Bay, and these are strongly supported by the fleet.
