HISC in Covid-19 Lockdown
Following the recent Government announcement on the latest lockdown regulations we would like to update you on the situation at the club.
Our paramount concern is for the safety of our members and the HISC Crew, and with that in mind we are taking the following measures until further notice.
- The club house and club grounds and all facilities will be closed, for the time being there can be no activities at the club for our members, in line with the ‘stay at home’ message from the government.
- A reduced Office Team will continue to operate office hours between 8am - 4pm Monday to Sunday. Some of the team will work from home but will still be available on email or on the phone and they are busy with our normal winter activities including membership renewals and planning and preparing for the season ahead.
- The Marine Team will be continuing to prepare for the coming season to make sure we are ready as soon as restrictions lift. If you have any concerns about your boats at HISC please contact the Marine Team ([email protected]) and they will endeavour to help as much as they can. The team will be inspecting the dinghy park and the laid up yachts on a regular basis.
We will continue to monitor this fast-moving situation and advise on updates regularly, in particular we are expecting further guidance from the RYA and the Conservancy is the next few days and if anything changes we will assess and advise as soon as we are able.
We are planning a full 2021 Centenary season of activity at the club and as soon as restrictions lift we will bring all our services back as soon as possible.
