Easter Weekend Racing

We are incredibly excited that we are allowed to open our grounds to our members on the 29 March and cannot wait to see everyone sailing.
However, before we get to the excitement of racing and sailing, we must remember that we have to stick to the rule of six while on shore and that it is still important to social distance.

It is vital that we all check our boats and ensure that they are in good working condition before launching, so that we do not have to rely on other people and putting them and ourselves in potential danger.
If there is anything that you need, please give Rory at the chandlery a call. Call him as early as you can to give him chance to stock the equipment you need and to support his local, family run chandlery!

Now to the bit we have all been waiting for . . .
Easter weekend will start on Friday 2 April with the Bridge race. This will start at 14.30, with HW at 15.50.
Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 brings us the first Pennant Weekend of 2021. It is currently scheduled for a 13.00 start on Saturday and 11.00 on Sunday.

It is our intention to race in Hayling Bay, however we cannot promise this right now as we need to make sure that we have the resources to cover this with safety and race teams.

We need to ensure we can roster a full race and rescue team, but also that everyone can be kept safe.
There will also be a Charity Pursuit Race on Monday 5 April in aid of the RNLI – First start 12:00 (Members Only).

Please help us plan by entering here as early as you can -

As per the Government rules, the clubhouse and changing rooms will remain closed.

Please plan ahead and be mindful of conditions for both sailing and for when you are ashore as even if it is sunny, the water will be cold and conditions can change quickly.
We look forward to seeing you at Easter and will update you with our plans the w/c 22 March.
