A White Ensign was raised on Saturday 4th February to commemorate the 80th anniversary of HISC becoming COPP HQ in 1943.

As many of you know, HISC has a plentiful history - including our sailing club being used by the Royal Navy in WW2 as the base for COPP (Combined Operations Pilotage Parties).

These were dedicated teams trained in covert operations, reconnoitring beaches selected for landings on enemy occupied territory throughout the world.

HISC was officially commissioned as COPP HQ on 4th February 1943.

Please help your club in our first for a while Boat Park Work Party! Our aim is to get more people sailing and racing this coming season by sorting out the boat parks.

A number of boats have been removed from the boat park and taken to the Sin Bin.

Sadly, some areas of our boat park are looking really unkept. Kayaks, Windsurfers and SUPs can be stored ON TOP of your dinghy. They should not be stored on the dunes or between boats.

Also boards and kayaks must be removed from the Racking areas in the West Boat Park (youth area) by the end of January . . . as we will be offering these spaces to boats . . .

We currently have over 100 boats on the waiting lis. Our goal is that by the end of January, we will be in a position to offer every supported fleet boat and as many unsupported fleet boats as possible a space for the 2023 season . . .
