New Club Race Sign ON / OFF Process

During the November / December Adult Open Winter Series HISC will be trialling a new way to sign on to racing at HISC using Sail Event. 

The Process:

1) Enter the entire series / or event on SailEvent link which will be displayed on the HISC website, (just like we are currently doing)

2) Sign On and Off on the day of sailing either:

a. via Email message on your phone. (NOT a text message as that costs us 10p per text) or,

b. via a tablet on the notice board outside the canteen (no phone necessary)

By signing off electronically, the office and race team will be informed in real time if all sailors are ashore and will be able to stand down volunteer safety teams in a timely manner, or if needed action a search for unaccounted for sailors.

This change to the race sign-on process is being trialled to help make member's racing experience easier. It will also help facilitate our ability to produce accurate and timely results and provide premium live safety cover.
