What is World's Toughest Row?

The World’s Toughest Row is widely regarded as the ultimate ocean rowing challenge - a grueling test of human endurance, teamwork, and resilience. It’s an unsupported ocean rowing race where competitors must row thousands of miles across open ocean, carrying all their own food, water, and equipment with no external assistance.

The most iconic course crosses the Atlantic Ocean, covering around 3,000 miles (4,800 km) from San Sebastián de La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua & Barbuda. Teams of one to four rowers battle relentless waves, sleep deprivation, extreme weather, and physical exhaustion for 30–70+ days to complete the crossing.
