From Saturday 22 April 2023 there will be a new way to sign-on for Club Racing at HISC.

Competitors will be asked to scan a QR code with their phone to enter a club race. The QR code will be displayed on the Sign-on Notice Board before the race . . .

Members are reminded personal flotation must be worn aboard the Selene tender service, including when the RIB is being used.

Easter Sunday will have an Easter Egg hunt for children of all ages and an Easter Crafts session with Emma.

After that, we invite members to join us for a Sunday Lunch in the restaurant.

Now the season is underway, we would like to remind members that if you are bringing guests to the club we kindly ask that you please let the office know by either emailing or calling us on 02392 463768.

When guests arrive, they will need to sign in at reception in order to receive their guests wristband.

Please be aware that cards and wristbands no longer work on the security barrier.

Please call reception to add your car registration to the ANPR system.

A White Ensign was raised on Saturday 4th February to commemorate the 80th anniversary of HISC becoming COPP HQ in 1943.

As many of you know, HISC has a plentiful history - including our sailing club being used by the Royal Navy in WW2 as the base for COPP (Combined Operations Pilotage Parties).

These were dedicated teams trained in covert operations, reconnoitring beaches selected for landings on enemy occupied territory throughout the world.

HISC was officially commissioned as COPP HQ on 4th February 1943.
