One to One Lessons

(Please note 1:1 sailing sessions are available for HISC members only.)

One-to-one instruction is an excellent way to develop your sailing skills with a qualified and experienced instructor, who will tailor each session to suit your individual needs. These sessions are available to both adult and youth sailors and the use of a hire boat is included in the price.

You are welcome to use your own boat if preferred; however, the session price remains the same.

One-to-one training can be booked as half-day sessions (morning or afternoon), or as full-day sessions where both are combined.

Session times:

• Morning sessions: 9:30am – 12:00pm
• Afternoon sessions: 1:30pm – 4:00pm
• Evening sessions: 5:30pm – 8:00pm
• Full day sessions: 9:30am – 4:00pm (includes a one-hour break off the water for lunch)

What to bring

Make sure you have the appropriate clothing for the weather. A wetsuit is encouraged, footwear you’re happy to get wet, layers if it’s cold, sun cream and a hat if it’s not and a buoyancy aid. Alternatively, the buoyancy aid can be rented from the club for a small fee.

Refreshments

During the summer, the snack bar will be open to purchase snacks, drinks, and lunch. The restaurant will also be open for dinner in the evenings.

Accommodation

Our Dunes and Stocker accommodation blocks offer a range of different rooms. From our admiral’s cabin through to the cadets’, there will be something suitable for everyone.

Parking

We have a large carpark onsite and down our causeway. However, if you are in a motorhome you will have to find alternative parking for overnight stays.
