Finding out what's going on:

All Family Fun Week information will be displayed on the windows outside the HISC Office on Monday morning.

We will also use the Family Fun Week WhatsApp group to send out any updates. This WhatsApp group will also be where the Tuesday briefing will take place for breakfast on the Winner bank, so we highly recommend you join the group!
There will be briefings for the Sailaways each day by the Youth Whiteboard outside the front of reception. The briefings take place at different times across the week so please be sure to check.

Click here for the schedule of activities through the week.

Please remember that the on the water activities are subject to changes, depending on the weather conditions.

Registration

Before the fun can start we will require all families to register in the Main Bar at 9am on Monday morning. We will provide you with your Family Fun Week wristband, giving you access to the exclusive activities and check you have completed photo and medical declarations for your children to ensure the week is safe and fun for everyone!

If you cannot attend the registration on Monday, please register at reception at your earliest convenience. You will not be able to participate in FFW activities without having registered.

Please make sure you keep your wristband on all week so we know you are participating in the event!

Sailing Decathlon

We have developed a sailing passport at Bronze, Silver and Gold level for families to work through so  you can get to know the club, the harbour, parts of boats, technical terms, knots, make friends and more. These will be available for families to work through at their own pace.

You can collect your decathlon passports from reception on Monday morning and the office after that. We will display the posters showing what you have to do for each activity on the windows facing out from the training room.  Once you have completed your booklet, take them back to Reception and exchange it for your reward.

Volunteer

Family Fun Week wouldn't be where it is today without the help of our wonderful volunteers. We are looking for volunteers to help assist us with our evening activities, including a lead volunteer who will oversee the social programme for the whole week. HISC will provide all the equipment required but we need volunteers to run the sessions. If you are able to help out please email George. (marketing.executive@hisc.co.uk)

The Destinations:

Monday – Sail up to the Vickers House up Mill Rythe Creek
Compete for the famous HISC Welly Wanging trophy! This is a nice easy sail to their house. Remember landing at the Vickers can be challenging, as boats have to be carried up a narrow slipway. Instructors will be on hand to help.

Tuesday – Breakfast on the Winner
There will be a WhatsApp briefing at 8:00am, bright and early ready to sail over to the Winner Bank with our catering team for breakfast! Lifts are available or you can choose to sail over.

Wednesday – Thorney Island
Sail across the harbour to explore the wild side of Thorney shore for a scavenger hunt! This is a medium difficulty sail past east head and up to Thorney Island.

Thursday – East Head
An easy sail across the harbour and a chance to enjoy arriving on the Stunning Paradise beach of East Head. Our wonderful catering team will be sailing over as well in order to provide us with a BBQ on the beach! Once you have eaten, join us for a game of rounders!

Friday – Fancy Dress Regatta
The Fancy Dress Regatta Briefing will be at 10am, location will be decided on the day. The course and start sequence will be put up on the Youth Whiteboard outside the training room. There will be a range of prizes ranging from best dressed competitor & best dressed boat to first place!

A limited number of rides will be available to each destination on board Juno on each sail away. If you need a ride, you must sign up at reception. More information will be provided at the briefings.
