Youth Training Week

Tuesday 27th - Friday 30th May 2025

Youth Training Week this year is aimed at students from complete beginner level up to Start Racing and Sailing with Spinnakers, and will take place from Tuesday 27th - Friday 30th May 2025.  Participants will work towards their next stages in the RYA Pathway.

Youth Training Week bookings will be going live on EliteLive on Tuesday 8th April 2025 at 7pm, so make sure you secure your spot!

Please see the information below for the different groups available during Youth Training Week. Please note, all prices are per boat. 

Opi Beginners (RYA Stage 1)

This group is for people that have never sailed before or would like to gain more confidence at the very basics (sailing across the wind!). It will have extra support with more instructors to focus on improving confidence on the boat. This group will work toward gaining the RYA Stage 1 award.

With your own boat: £315
With a HISC Hire boat: £360

The price is inclusive of 1 Space, Logbooks and Certificates.

Tera Beginners (RYA Stage 1)

This group is for people that have never sailed before or would like to gain more confidence at the very basics (sailing across the wind!). It will have extra support with more instructors to focus on improving confidence on the boat single handed. This group will work toward gaining the RYA Stage 1 award.

With your own boat: £315
With a HISC Hire boat: £360

The price is inclusive of 1 Space, Logbooks and Certificates.

Opi Improvers (RYA Stage 2/3)

This group is for people that are confident in a boat and can sail across the wind. With support from our qualified instructors the focus will be on sailing upwind/downwind/tacking and gybing. This group will work toward gaining the RYA Stage 2 or 3 award, depending on ability.

With a HISC Hire boat: £360

The price is inclusive of 1 Space, Logbooks and Certificates.

Tera Improvers (RYA Stage 2/3)

This group is for people that are confident in a boat and can sail across the wind. With support from our qualified instructors the focus will be on sailing upwind/downwind/tacking and gybing. This group will work toward gaining the RYA Stage 2 or 3 award depending on ability.

With a HISC Hire boat: £360

Feva Intro (RYA Stage 4)

This group is for people that are confident in a boat and have sailed upwind/downwind/tacking and gybing. With support from our qualified instructors, the focus will be learning to sail the RS Feva and communicate well within their boat. This group will work toward gaining the RYA Stage 4.

With your own boat: £450 per Boat
With a HISC Hire boat: £550

The price is inclusive of 2 spaces (1 boat; helm and crew), Logbooks and Certificates.

Feva Improvers (RYA Sailing with Spinnakers)

This group is for people that are established pairs in an RS Feva and can sail upwind/downwind/tacking and gybing. With support from our qualified instructors the focus will be learning to sail the RS Feva utilising all the sails, including the spinnaker. This group will work towards gaining the RYA Sailing with Spinnakers.

With your own boat: £450 per Boat
With a HISC Hire boat: £550

The price is inclusive of 2 spaces (1 boat; helm and crew), Logbooks and Certificates.

Opi Start Racing (RYA Start Racing)

This group is for people that are confident in a boat and can sail upwind, downwind and are confident tacking and gybing. With support from our qualified race coaches, the focus will be learning racing skills. This group will work towards gaining the RYA Start Racing qualification.
